Hello. I am JargMarbin.
|
My real name is Chris Fluur. I am the person behind this musical project called JargMarbin.
I was lucky enough to work with two other musicians on the new album: Isaac Streckenbach and Dale Bailey - virtuoso percussionist and violinist,
respectfully. The album is an aggressive danceable fusion of aboriginal psychedelia,
surf, folk, IDM, and rock 'n roll. It was recorded and produced in Madison Wisconsin and
Austin Texas using two computers, two DAWs, and over 40 individual instruments; the final mixing and mastering took place in my Honda
Civic equipped with it's original factory speakers. I released the album in downloadable digital format on
August 8th 2009. The final product is a sonic bonanza. The exotic forest of instrumentation is woven together with field
recordings of natural and human landscapes to create a very original style.
The release date for the physical CD is September 1 2009. It's a full color digipak design by Paul Streckenbach and myself;
it looks outrageously grandiose in digital format. I hope it looks as good in real life !
If a lot of people buy the music I'll invest the profits back into the project by purchasing
a bunch more acoustical ( I mean not electronic; things like harp, banjo, oboe, bassoon, whatever they use in India and China, etc. )
musical instruments for the second album ( which I will name after you, or let
you choose the name if you make a sizable donation to the project; email me if you are
interested, see the contact page for my email address, I'm serious. ).
My second album is not named thus far, but the music is being recorded and constructed; it should
be finished by May.
I'm also developing a live show, I should be playing some live shows very soon in Austin Texas!
